Chinchero, Salineras, Maras, Moray (7 Hour Tour)

In the morning, at the agreed time, our guide will wait for you at your hotel to then undertake a tour from Cusco until reaching Chinchero, an important archaeological center and home of Túpac Inca Yupanqui. In addition, here we will be able to appreciate the impressive Andean textile process. Then, we will continue our tour until reaching Moray. According to historians, these constructions constituted an important agricultural laboratory of the Inca Empire, since their terraces are built with their respective irrigation channels and each of them constitutes a microclimate. What draws attention is the great difference in annual average temperature between the upper part and the bottom of the depressions, a difference that reaches up to 15 °C. After visiting Moray, we will head towards the town of Maras, a town that still preserves its Andean traditions and customs. After a short stop in Maras, we will continue until reaching Salineras, a salt mining complex whose salt pans were already exploited since Inca times as a means of economic exchange and of values. At the end of the tour, you will return to Cusco at approximately 15:00 hours.
