Humantay Lake (15 Hour Tour)

At the agreed time, at approximately 04:30 a.m., we will go to your hotel to pick you up and start the trip, heading northeast of the city of Cusco. Along the route, we will pass through different towns and hamlets until we reach the town of Limatambo; from this point, we will ascend towards the town of Mollepata, a place where we will have breakfast and lunch. On the way, we will make stops at the Markahuasi viewpoint and observe the archaeological remains of the same name. At this point, the guide will provide detailed information about the place. After enjoying breakfast, we will continue our trip by car to Soraypampa. During the journey, the guide will provide information about the flora, fauna, and customs of the place.

Arriving at Soraypampa, the starting point for the hike, our guide will explain the correct way to walk at high altitudes, the travel time, and the distance; they will also provide you with a small snack and trekking poles to assist your hike. The hike lasts approximately two hours. Upon arriving at the beautiful Humantay lagoon, we will be able to appreciate the beautiful scenery and the imposing view of the Humantay and Salkantay snow-capped mountains. After a brief rest and taking photos, we will return along the same route to Soraypampa. There, we will board our transport and return to Mollepata, a place where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch this time, before returning to the city of Cusco.
