According to your flight schedule, our team will go to receive you at the airport to head to your hotel in Cusco where you will be received with a cup of the famous coca tea. The city of Cusco is at an altitude of 3,399 masl
This afternoon you will know the best places of Cusco and its surroundings. We will start with the Cathedral, located in the Plaza de Armas, it is the main church of the imperial city, it was built on the palace of the Inca Wiracocha.
The Cathedral has more than 300 paintings of the Cusco school of art. Then we will visit the Qoricancha, in the Quechua language it means "temple of gold", it was the first temple built by the Incas, formerly it was covered with large amounts of gold and silver. We will leave the city of Cusco and arrive at the Saqsayhuaman complex, famous for its enormous lithic blocks of more than 150 tons. In the Inca era it was considered the temple to lightning, "the god Illapa".
Next, we will visit the temple of Q’enqo, a place dedicated to the Pacha Mama (Mother Earth) where you will be able to appreciate carved stone constructions. Then we will arrive at the impressive Inca fort Puka Pukara, in the Quechua language it means Red Fortress. Finally, we will arrive at Tambomachay, where we will see the sacred temple dedicated to the cult of water that probably also had a function as a purification bath for the Inca rulers. At the end of the afternoon we will return to Cusco, where we will drop you off at your hotel or if you prefer in the Plaza de Armas.

Cusco – Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – 02h30m tour

Early in the morning, at the agreed time, we will pick you up at your hotel, we will head to the Ollantaytambo train station, there we will board the train that will take us to Aguas Calientes. After a journey of almost 04 hours we will arrive at the Aguas Calientes station, where our guide will be waiting for you with a sign with your name, then we will head to the bus station where we will continue for an additional 30 minutes, we will ascend 400 m along a zigzagging path to reach the incredible wonder of the world “The Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu” also known as “The Lost City of the Incas”. Upon arriving at the citadel of Machu Picchu with our guide, we will show the entrance tickets, and we will begin the tour throughout the citadel. For approx. 02h30m we will visit the main places that the wonder of “Machu Picchu” has. At the end of the guided tour our guide will leave you in an area that you can take advantage of to take photographs. In the afternoon will be the return to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time to enjoy your lunch in one of the many restaurants or if you prefer at the Sanctuary Lodge (lunch is on your own). At the end of the afternoon, we will board the return train to Ollantaytambo (Depending on the availability of the train departure time), the return will follow the same route as the outbound journey. Upon your arrival in Ollantaytambo, the train representative will take you to the bus to finally take you to your hotel in Cusco.
